Building Green Cities

Longfor Group strictly complies with laws and regulations such as the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment, the Outline of the Natural Protection of the People's Republic of China, and the Regulations on Environmental Protection Management of Construction Projects. We have formulated the Biodiversity Framework to promote harmonious development between humans and nature. In the construction process, we integrate the concept of protecting the ecological environment into planning and design, actively carry out environmental impact assessments, ecological governance, and biodiversity protection work, continuously improve public environmental awareness, and help build green cities.

Biodiversity Framework
Commitment

In line with our commitment to greenfield development, we refrain from developing projects in national nature reserves located ♐on the World Heritage list and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Inventory categories I-IV protected areas.

Prior to the construction of the project, we will strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations, conduct risk assessment and investigation, including obtaining the biodiversity factors of the project site, and avoid occupying farmland or green space for development. After obtaining th🥂e approval of the relevant departments, we will carry out the construction in compliance with the green building standards and minimize𝓰 the impact on the green space and the surrounding ecosystems during the subsequent development process, and actively improve, optimize, and rectify the environmental problems of the project site itself, and protection and ensure ecological protection and restoration.

Furthermore, based on the land use runoff characteristics and the natural terrain of the hilly slopes where the project is located, we have adopted low-impact development facilities such as per🌌meable pavement, green roofs, and rain gardens from the perspectives of functionality, economy, practicality, and landscape effects, and set up porous slow drainage pipes to achieve rainwater infiltration, storage, and regulation, and improve water use efficiency.

In the design of the first phase of Chongqing Jinglin Jiuxu, we adopted low-impact technology facilities such as bio-retention zones, green roofs, and permeable p🦂avement to enhance the project’s water storage capacity, achieving a total annual runoff control rate of 74.30% and a polluꦛtant removal rate of 50.91%.

In selecting plants to construct rain gardens, we prioritize using native plants to effectively resist biological invasion. In addition,𒁃 we consid🏅er the ability of vegetation to retain water, fight pollution, and withstand droughts and floods to improve water use efficiency while protecting biodiversity.

Ecological Management of Longtang Lake Park in Chongqing

To protect the ecological environment of꧟ Fuxian Lake in Yunnan, Longfor h🌠as customized a unique environmental management plan for the on-site situation of the Baxin Gully water ecology in Fuxian Lake Starry Town to improve the local ecological environment and enhance biodiversity.

To create a good water environment for the artificial lake, we invited ecological and hydrological experts to conduct research based on the actual situation, using the entire food chain ecological construction technology to gradually carry out the following work: improving water quality purification and improving the ecological environmen▨t.

          · Carried out substrate improvement projects, cleaned up large rocks, soil, and tree roots at the bottom of𝓡 the lake, and used microorganisms to decompose excessive organic matter in the water to improve water quality.

          · Carried out🌼 plant cultivation projects and used submerged plants to effectively prevent eutrop🌃hication of water bodies.

          · Introduced aquatic plants, microorganisms, an🍰d animals to construct a complete aquatic ecosystem, enhance the self-purification ability of the aquatic system, and improve biodiversity.

Through this ecological system construction, the water quality of Fuxian Lake Starry Town has been significantly improved. The main water quality in♛dicators (total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, COD) have reached the Class III water quality🙈 of surface water environment GB3838-2002, with transparency of more than one meter and a survival rate of submerged plants reaching 95%.

In order to maintain the stability of the urban ecological environment, the group has carried ou𒁏t ecological governance on the Longtang Lake Park around Longfor Lijia Paradise Walk. The park, prior to construction, encountered challenges like hardened barges, aging equipment, and weak hydrophilicity. As a result, we developed a comprehensive ecological planning and design for Longta🌞ng Lake Park to safeguard and rejuvenate the original vegetation while creating an ecological barge to sustain ecological stability. Simultaneously, we integrated public recreation and entertainment functions without disrupting the park’s ecology, fostering an enhanced connection between humans and nature, and realizing the harmonious coexistence of both.
